Hyderi Islamic Centre (Shi’a)

Hyderi Islamic Centre (Shi’a)

You can assemble in the enclosed area in front of the Centre. This building was once a synagogue. Now it is home to a large congregation of Shi’a Muslims, many of whose families came to Britain from East Africa. Inside you can see painted tile work and models of mosques in places sacred to Shi’a Muslims. The website is worth a look.

On entering the mosque, everyone must remove their shoes. Girls and female staff will need to cover their heads.

To make an arrangement to visit, by using the contact form on the website.
