The National Spiritual Assembly is the elected governing body of the Bahá’ís of the UK. The community aims to promote the principles of the Baha’i faith and the teachings of Baha’u’llah. It works for the reconciliation of races and religions and fosters an awareness of the Earth as one country and all people as its citizens.

Contributions to RE

The National Spiritual Assembly view Religious education as an important subject for children. The Baha’i community is keen to support RE, and the website of the National Spiritual Assembly provides a wealth of RE resources through the Baha’i Religious education Agency.

It is important that children have the opportunity to learn about the Bahá’í Faith as part of their Religious Studies. The non-statutory guidance suggests that study of Bahá’í beliefs can be included in the locally agreed syllabus, as it is in a growing number of local authorities.
